ESG

Our Sustainability Commitment

At Bedrock Residencies, we’re in the early stages of building a more sustainable hospitality business, and we’re being honest about our current position. Real progress requires clear goals, measurable actions, and accountability. Here’s our commitment

What We're Doing Now

Investing in Our People

Sustainability starts with our team. We're building a culture of continuous learning through:
- Rockverse Academy - structured training programs
- Bi-weekly KSS sessions - knowledge sharing and professional development
- Quarterly training - ongoing skill enhancement

When our people grow, everything else improves.

Creating Comfortable Spaces

Our properties feature maintained plants and green spaces that enhance guest comfort and add a touch of nature to urban Lagos. It's about creating welcoming environments where you can relax

Operating with Integrity

We maintain full compliance with tax obligations and national regulations, operating with transparent governance and legal accountability

Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

Our apartments are constructed with quality materials designed for durability and longevity. Better-built spaces mean less frequent renovations, less waste, and more sustainable use of resources. We leverage The Bedrock app for seamless, paperless operations, reducing administrative waste while improving guest experience. Guest feedback through reviews directly informs our improvements.

Understanding Our Baseline

We're tracking electricity consumption across all properties to establish our baseline. You can't improve what you don't measure. This is step one toward real energy efficiency

Our Commitments: 2026 Targets

We’re setting specific, measurable goals with real timelines. Hold us accountable:

Environmental Responsibility

  • Install recycling and sorting systems across all properties by Q2 2026 – organised waste separation (plastics, glass, paper) to enable LAWMA to collect efficiently
  • Reduce energy consumption by 15% through LED lighting, smart AC management, and efficiency upgrades by December 2026
  • Partner with Dana Waters for their bottle buyback program by Q2 2026 – ensuring all plastic water bottles are collected and recycled rather than eliminated (because guests need them)
  • Implement water-saving fixtures in all bathrooms across properties by Q3 2026
  • Launch food waste tracking at Choco’s Bistro to identify reduction opportunities by Q3 2026

Social Impact

  • Launch RockVerse Impact Drive by Q3 2026: dedicating 1% of annual revenue to local Lagos community projects, schools, neighbourhood initiatives, and causes that matter
  • Expand Rockverse Academy to include sustainability training for all staff by 2026

Governance & Transparency

  • Publish annual sustainability report with real numbers, energy consumption, water usage, waste metrics, by Q1 2027
  • Achieve data privacy certification for The Bedrock app to protect guest information by Q4 2026
  • Establish vendor standards for ethical sourcing and fair labour practices by Q3 202

Progress Updates

We’ll update this page every quarter with:

  • Milestones achieved
  • What’s coming next

Next update:  March 2026: If we fall short, we’ll let you know why. If we succeed, we’ll celebrate with you—transparency matters.
